This suppose to go out last night but the blackout spoilt my plan.

Assalamualaikum SDARAs,

Just came back from Seremban two hours ago and there is a lot that I
have to share.

1. I can't remember the last SDAR Sport Day that I went. But, I am very sure it was more than 15 years ago. So much has changed since then but what I failed to understand is why the proceeding and handling of the Sportday was so bad. When I was in SDAR the Sport Day was something that we really wait for. There were a lot of preparations, practice and not to mention several rehearsal before the big day it self. During the day itself all students were required to be on the fields. No one was
allowed to be anywhere else. The dorms were definitely empty. On the field supporters were required to wear the house colors and were their movements were confined to certain part of the field. The quarter masters were excellence the judges were professionals. The athletes were properly attired even especially during the prize presentation. I may be paranoid or even has missed the points. But, I didn't see all these today. It is definitely not the sport day that I used to.

2. A good turn out by SDARAs. Some Tg Malim gangs were there. Sdara Musa, Zainuddin aka Kangkong, Dr Abd Manaf and family, Komputer, Ibrahim the Secretary, Nan, Amaran, Isa Yeop, Komando and few more. At last I can put faces to the emails and names from the Egroups. Finally, met with Sdara Muhamad Abdullah (MA) from Melaka and Nazrol from PD.

3. The main event of the day was Acara Sdara Interhouse 4X100. We managed to ensemble 4 teams Laxamana, Sultan, Bendahara and Shahbandar. Sorry no Temenggong. I can't remember the complete team but Laxamana was represented by Sdara Amaran Abu Bakar (first runner), Lanz (second), Hasmadi aka Madud the curve specialist and Bond the anchor. It is never too late to be involved in sport, Nan is the best example. While in SDAR sport was his jinx after living SDAR he was practically the star. In Tg Malim he played soccer and today he was one of the runners. A classic case of late bloomer. Anyway, off the block all runners were equal. Baton were passed to the second runners and suddenly as if from nowhere a runner from Sultan's charging like a bullet leaving everyone gasping for air. At that time Sultan was first, Bendahara second, Laxamana third and Shahbandar fourth. The four of us anchor runners, Bond, Bro Kangkong, Bro Yusof Malek, and Komando,  were anxious. The baton was passed to the curve specialists and the standing were still the same. The last runners were ready... Bro Kangkong was first to receive the baton and sped straight
away into the horizon, Bro Yusof Malek the speed demon was next immediately overtake Bro Kangkong halfway through. Bond was third, thinking he was still 18 years old sped off immediately on receiving the baton - primary target was Bro Kangkong. Bond stride was perfect Carl Lewis would be proud of him. 10 meters out to Bro Kangkong suddenly he saw constellation in front of him - Jupiter, Mars and Moons were spinning with the days getting darker. 'No', Bond said, 'I am not
hallucinating. It is just one bad dream.' Luckily, he managed to fight it and cross the line third. Komando would have beaten Bond if not for his ankle injury (an episode from a hindustani movie). As we cross the line the school went crazy - so were we. We must be crazy to do all these things.... but it was fun. I will do it again next year this time
fully prepared.
